Ugg Boots – Oprah’s Favourite Footwear Is Here To Stay

Ugg Boots become must have fashion accessory for celebrity men

The furry boots have been incredibly successful among females, as celebrities such as Kate Moss and Sarah Jessica Parker have worn them with pride.

But increasingly men such as Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood have been spotted in them.

Although they may be associated with women, the boots were originally worn by men – Australian sheep-shearers, early aviators who kept their feet warm, and Australian surfers in the 1970s.

Connie Rishwain, president of the American-owned firm Ugg Australia said: “It’s a feelgood brand.

“We’re all about comfort and luxury. And at a time when people might not be able to remodel their house or buy a new car, they can buy a pair of boots.”

She added that a launch of Ugg in Covent Garden would be attended by some Chelsea footballers, which she said would help open the boots up to a whole new market.

“I pinch myself every time I see a pair on someone famous,” she added, “It helps that they are such a recognisable item too: it’s so obviously an Ugg boot in those pictures.”

But the boots remain a divisive topic, loved and hated in equal measure.

One editor of a men’s magazine, who declined to be named, told The Independent: “They are a monstrosity. They are like glorified slippers. You may as well shuffle down the street in your pyjamas and a pair of incontinence pants.”

Here’s more proof that celebrities are still crazy about their Uggs.  Tori Spelling was spotted wearing them on July 5th,2009,  when she spent the day at the beach in Malibu with her family.  Tori’s feet were  comfy and dry as she strolled with  her two children, Liam, 2, and Stella, 1, through the sand.    That’s so much better than having your sandals fill up with wet, gritty sand, don’t you think?

Need more evidence?  Reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson included a pair of Ugg boots in the beautiful gift baskets she had made for each of her bridesmaids.  On June 27, 2009 she married NFL player Hank Baskett and presented each of her seven bridesmaids with custom made gift baskets.  Not only did those lovely baskets contain a pair of Ugg boots, but a number of other very classy items.  The bridesmaids were probably happy to get home after hours on their feet at the wedding  and slip into something more comfortable, like their new Ugg boots!

Rachel Johnson is not only the sister of the mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and a well-known author in her own right,  she is also the newest editor of Britain’s oldest weekly women’s magazine, The Lady.  She beat out 21 other top contenders for the job.  Not only is this lady smart, but she knows how to stay comfortable.  She’s pictured wearing Ugg boots as she lounges in front of a cozy fire.

Of course, we all know you don’t have to be a celebrity to love Ugg boots.  Everyone can enjoy the comfort and style of  Uggs.  It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or woman, young or old.  There’s a perfect pair of Ugg boots available for anyone.  So what if you’re not a celebrity.  You can still dress like one!

Celebrities in UGGs: Hayden Panettierre

Hayden Panettierre was seen strolling the streets of So Cal wearing a pair of incredible UGG Classic Tall boots in early June. She was wearing them with – get this- a pair of very short denim shorts. We know some of you think that UGG boots should not be worn in the summer. We also know some of you cringed at the thought of someone wearing UGG boots with shorts. But just take a look and see – Hayden Panettierre pulled off this look – and she did it well!

Hayden ins one of Hollywood’s up and coming young actresses. She’s won roles in “Remember the Titans,” “Joe Somebody,” “A Bug’s Life,” and “Racing Stripes” – amongst many others. She’s been acting since she was only 11 months old – starting her career by appearing in a Playskool commercial and in the year 2000 was voted Actress of the Year by Childstarlets.com.

The stunning young actress has a number of up and coming projects in the works. She had roles in “Hoodwinked 2″ as well as in “Alpha and Omega,” both of which are set to release in 2010. She’s currently filming “Carmel” and it is rumored that she may have a part in the upcoming “Footloose” as well.

Britney Spears Loves UGG Boots

A report said that recently in Los Angeles, although the weather was quite  hot. Yet, the surprising part was that Britney Spears appeared in a pair of warm  UGG boot. She was  accompanied by the bodyguard, to buy a cage for her pet parrot.

It seemed that everyone was interested in her wearing. She wore a T-shirt, hot  pants, but on her feet, it was a pair of UGG Classic  Nightfall, it seemed so strange. Britney still enjoyed herself, as if she  ignored her dress.

She was so fond of UGG boots, and even she would wear them in an improper  occasion. She was pointed last month about her taste in wearing.

Because, again accompanied her hot pants with UGG Mini, she  appeared with her friend outside a Starbucks Coffee. It was still quite hot that  day, concluded from their dress, a T-shirt and hot pants. A comment was that, we  could not tell whether she felt cold or hot.

It seemed that when speaking of love in UGG boots, no one could compare with  Britney.
