The Baby Ugg Boot: More Than Just Cute
Whether you love or hate the ugg boot styles for adults, the baby ugg boot is just downright cute, no matter what your personal take on uggs. More than just being a cute fashion statement for the littlest trendsetters, though, the baby ugg boot is extremely practical for a variety of reasons.
Baby Ugg Boot Benefits
Baby Ugg boot benefits are numerous. Like the adult version of ugg boots (if you get sheepskin and fleece baby uggs rather than some of the synthetic versions available now), the fleece lining works naturally to draw moisture away from your baby’s foot. This is important because no matter how little those tiny tootsies are, harboring moisture is a thriving ground for bacteria, not to mention discomfort.
The sheepskin exterior composition of the baby ugg boot is also slightly flexible, so it conforms to your little hunny bunny’s foot better than regular shoes. Recently, we took our four month old out and put his little tiny tennis shoes on. Well, he looked cute all right, but they were constricting for him and didn’t allow him to move his toes around.
This isn’t the case with the baby ugg boot – the slight flexibility allows baby’s toes to wriggle around in comfort.
Skip The Socks and Bring On The Style
Another benefit of the baby ugg boot is that you do not need both shoes and socks – in fact, ugg boots are meant to be worn alone. So forget hunting all those itty-bitty socks that end up disappearing in the wash.
The baby ugg boot is also the perfect for all those adorable baby outfits that don’t have footies attached. Many regular shoes slip off easily, but several of the baby ugg boot styles, like the laced and Velcro tab styles fit snuggly on your baby’s tiny feet, keeping them warm, dry, cozy, and comfortable. So you don’t have to shelve all the cute outfits without footies or make your little one suffer with uncomfortable shoes – just pop on a baby ugg boot onto each of his or her teensy tootsies.
Baby Ugg Boot Styles and Prices
You can buy the baby ugg boot in pink, blue, sand, chestnut, white, and tan. There are a wide selection of baby ugg boots in several different styles – laced baby ugg boots, slightly taller baby uggs with Velcro, baby ugg boots with a fold down cuff, laceless and tabless baby uggs, and more. You can also get the baby ugg boot manufactured or handmade.
Prices for the baby ugg boot vary, but they range from about thirteen to thirty-five dollars when you buy online, so you can easily find a price on the baby ugg boot that meets your budget. For the quality and benefits the baby ugg boot provides, it’s definitely worth checking out.
The Baby Ugg Boot Makes A Great Baby Shower Gift
If you’re looking for a great baby shower gift idea, go for the baby ugg boot. You can give them alone, or coordinate the baby ugg boot you buy with a cute outfit. Since the baby ugg boot comes in neutrals like sand, white, and chestnut, it’s perfect whether the little baby-to-be is a boy or a girl.
So whether you get the baby ugg boot for your own little one or as a gift for another lucky baby, the baby ugg boot is a member of the ugg boot family that’s sure to make every baby a happy baby in cute ’n’ comfy style.
UGG – a girl’s must have these days.

One woman’s love of the boot…
If there was ever a brand that set a woman’s heart a-flutter, it is UGG. In spite of being established back in 1995, it first hit the mainstream – or attracted celeb-culture – back in 2003 when the showbiz pages uncovered A-lister after A-lister wearing what looked to be cosy looking snow boots.
UGG has become a necessity attracting children, teens and adults alike…and once those warm soft sheepskin boots mould to the shape of your own foot – you KNOW you will never look back, and prising them off your feet is quite impossible, because they were made for them!
The thing about the UGG is that unlike the frequently spotted copies, the quality of the boot means that the condition remains impressive for years on end however much you flog them. Walking down the street behind a wannabe-UGG girl, I often think – if only she had just saved up for the real deal, she would not be walking on the sides of her feet, dragging those clumpy, tattered faux-sheepskin ‘things’ along like they weighed more than a ton of bricks.
I purchased my first pai of UGG’s in 2004, and 3 years on, my first pair still have pride of place in the flat in spite of being rather too well loved, but they remain impeccably formed and ceaselessly comfortable…however I rather cruelly upgraded them for a chocolate pair in 2006, and they are somewhat neglected!
What I am trying to say girls is that UGG is an addiction, it is a drug of sorts, but without any long term damage – well apart from your bank balance I suppose – but it is the kind of drug that no one can really condemn you for…and that quite simply, you won’t know true comfort and luxury until you have pulled a pair of delicious boots over your weary feet.
So how did it all begin?
UGG Australia’s story began in 1978 when Brian Smith, a young surfer from Australia took a trip to the US with a single bag of sheepskin boots. After finding a home amongst California surfers, the UGG brand was born. However, it was not until 2000 when Oprah Winfrey received her first pair of ‘Ultra’ boots, that the states fell for the UGG charm. Purchasing 350 pairs for all of her staff, America watched in curiosity as the boot featured again and again in ‘Oprah’s favourite things’.
UGG has since taken the fashion world by storm, and boots which were originally intended for surf-culture now grace runways world wide. Designed to be worn barefoot to maximise the warmth and cushioning of the sheepskin, UGG footwear insulates your feet in temperatures down to -30F. The special thing is however, that UGG’s can also keep the foot cool in summer, as the supple fibres act as a natural air conditioner.
And if you were worrying about the fate of the sheep involved, you can relax – UGG does not kill sheep solely for their skins…instead the skin is a natural by-product of the food industry, and hence you could say that they were utilising what would otherwise be wasted.
So who wears them?
When it comes to relaxing and being themselves, models and celebrities will always go for comfort. UGG’s have been spotted on some of the world’s top celebrities, some of whom are rarely spotted without them – red carpet aside – and the likes of Pammie Anderson even wear them with a bikini!
UGG’s are not just a woman’s prerogative…they are fast becoming a must-have for men and celebrity offspring too! With an endless list of fans, UGG’s are rarely out of the fashion columns.
Ben Affleck, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Cameron Diaz, Robbie Williams, Sadie Frost, Terri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Madonna (and all the family), Sienna Miller, Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss and daughter Lila, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Simpson, Pharrell Williams and Matt Damon are all obsessed with theirs.
Anything new for 2007?
For spring – summer 2007, the legendary brand launches its’ most anticipated and diverse range so far which includes several new collections for men, women and children.
The classic mini is a shorter version of the iconic style, available in signature colours of sand, chestnut, chocolate, black and patchwork. Also new for this season is the classic crochet in tall and short…with its woven wool surround it is ideal for keeping feet cool and summery.
Espadrille’s
In the women’s espadrilles range, the Mar sandal is great for holiday. The Palma slip on wedge is effortlessly stylish too. Finally the new Playa sandal makes up this collection.
Surf Collection
The surf collection offers great flip flops for all the family, including the Tasmania for men, the Tasmina, La Jolla, Newport and Laguna for women
Women’s casuals
Thelma is a stunning boat shoe with a modern twist…and elegant style for all occasions.
Men’s casuals
The Indy is stylish and practical. Simplistic in design with clean lines, it looks fantastic with tailored trousers or jeans. The Byrnes are more sturdy but equally suited to any look.
Kid’s collection
The Mini Moc is a suede boat style shoe with indulgent lining for little feet, and will keep any fashion conscious youngsters happy! The Mini Loaf is a simpler twist providing the same quality but in a loafer shape. The Erin and Boo styles make up the infants collection. Lovely baby boots which come in chestnut, sand, baby blue and baby pink.
Looking ahead…
The UGG Australia brand continues to be in massive global demand and this latest collection shows that the classic UGG is not the only uber-cool shoe in the range. There is no doubt that the reputation of a shoe is unquestionable when it can be near to impossible to get your mitts on the likes of the UGG classic range at Christmas time due to the endlessly high demand. Getting your first pair of UGG’s feels like a rite of passage, and I could not recommend them more highly!
Pemela Anderson Comments on Ugg Boots
March 17, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Animal lover and former “Baywatch” bombshell Pemela Anderson is giving her Ugg boots the boot after learning that the furry fashion statements are made from shaved sheepskin.
Anderson, who is often credited with first turning the Australian-made Uggs into a major fashion trend, posted a diary entry on her web site denouncing the boots and asking fans to stop wearing them once she realized they were unfriendly to animals.
“I’m getting rid of our Uggs — I feel so guilty for that craze being started around Baywatch days — I used to wear them with my red swim suit to keep warm — never realizing that they were Skin!” she wrote on her Web site.
The buxom blonde is an outspoken supporter of PETA and animal rights causes.
“I thought they were shaved kindly? People like to tell me all the time that I started that trend — yikes! Well let’s start a new one — do NOT buy Uggs! Buy Stella McCartney or juicy boots,” Anderson wrote.
How to Buy Ugg and Emu Boots!
March 17, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
The most important thing you have to remember when shopping around for this footwear is this: UGG boots is not a brand name – it is the appellation given to the style of boots. This goes pretty much in the direction of Flip-Flops and Orthopedic Shoes. Lower quality or cheaply made boots can have the same markings simply because they follow the same standard pattern for the making of the boots. In other words, not because the pair you have on right now has “UGG boots” stitched to its side means that it’s authentic or that it is made from quality material. This simply means that you are wearing a pair of boots.
Needless to say, this kind of footwear can be a bit pricey. So how can you buy an authentic pair
and know for certain that it is authentic? Here are some tips:
1. Buy only from reputable dealers or authorized nationwide resellers.
This is fairly easy if you are doing your shopping at the mall or
individual shoe stores that carry the genuine products. Although most
people consider online shopping as a great convenience; this may not
always be the case when it comes to buying footwear. Since you are
allocating a lot of money to buy a pair of genuine Cheap UGG boots,
you might want to try on a pair to see if they fit, or if they actually
look good on you. If you want the real deal, try buying only from the
stores that really advertised their products’ authenticity.
2. When you can’t get to a mall or a store in your area to shop you can
always search online for a pair of UGG boots. You will just need to be
careful when shopping online. Do your research and make sure what the
store is offering is an authentic UGG boot. Not all websites offering
discount UGG boots are shams. Again, try to patronize online resellers
that can vouch for their products’ authenticity. Major online stores
like Nordstrom usually do, so any product bearing the UGG logo must be
good. However, there are also some authentic, but lesser known
resellers in the World Wide Web. And these sites do make frequent
sales, especially when new models have just rolled in. So you can get a
pair of boots at discount prices – and still get the read deal. There
are even many eBay sellers that sell authentic UGG boots. You will just
need to check their feedback.
However, it should be noted that there are also those online companies that sell cheap or imitation boots that can be just as convincing as well. So it really pays to look at the other products being offered in the websites you have visited. Verifying authenticity can be tricky, but it can be done. Always check a sites feedback if they offer it. Ask a seller if the boots are authentic UGG boots before buying. If all is done with care you will be ok to make an online purchase.
